Moonlight Sonata (after Beethoven) - performed live:
The first movement (Adagio Sostenuto) is played about 10 times slower than the original tempo, with real-time reverbs and delays inspired by time-stretching techniques of electronic music, transforming it into a lush and huge ambient piece.
In the second movement, small fragments of Beethoven’s music are looped, scattered in space and detached from their original compositional context, creating new melodies and harmonies.
The virtuoso third movement (Presto Agitato) is played through a delay effect, creating a new time dimension.
